Dear computer,
This is just a quick note to say thank you. This morning, I unplugged you from your charger and took you back to bed with me and a cup of coffee, just for a few minutes, like most mornings. You didn’t power on. I freaked out. I tried a few tricks and nothing worked; your screen stayed dark. I Googled your behavior and figured out some other tricks to try, and one of them worked. You powered on. Thank you. I appreciate that you didn’t crap out after only eight months of use, I am grateful for the reminder to back up my work, and I am relieved to not have to immediately go out and drop money I don’t have to replace you—though I would’ve. After an hour and a half of believing you were dead, you came back, so thank you.
Love,
Stacia
